Grants.gov Maintenance Outage
During the early morning of September 16th, Grants.gov will be undergoing routine, scheduled maintenance. During this time, you will not be able to search for or retrieve Grants.gov opportunities from the S2S tab in the Proposal Development module. If you have already retrieved an opportunity from the S2S tab, you will be able to use the system as you normally would. The maintenance window is as follows:

System Changes for COI Project Based Disclosures
As mentioned in Issue 14 of the KC System Implementation Update, we have made changes to the process for completing project based Conflict of Interest disclosures in KC. The changes include:
- PI’s and Co-I’s that approve the proposal will transition from the proposal approval screen to the COI project based disclosure
- After completing the project based disclosure, the researcher will have the option to update their annual disclosure, however, the system will not force them to update their annual disclosure in order to finalize their project-based disclosure
To assist faculty with these changes we have created instructions specific to Investigators that provides the steps for reviewing and approving a proposal, as well as completing a project based Conflict of Interest disclosure. F&A Rate Type for Modular Budgets Updated
This week we have updated the F&A Rate Type field on the Modular Budget tab to reflect what has been selected as the F&A Rate Type on the Parameters tab (which defaults to “Modified Total Direct Costs”) after

NIH R-Series Checklist for S2S Proposals
We have created a S2S agency checklist based on feedback from users. With the large NIH R01 deadline looming, we have started with the NIH R-Series checklist. We have attached this newly created checklist to this Update email and will post it to our Prepare Proposal Development Document page next week. We strongly encourage any feedback on the Checklist. This Checklist is a living document particularly with NIH’s new forms set coming out in January. The feedback received will be used to revise this checklist and to create other Agency checklists. EBS Maintenance on 9-23 and 9-24
On Saturday, Sept 23rd from 7am-10am and Sunday, Sept 24th from 10am-1pm, EBS will be completing system maintenance. There should not be an interruption of access, however, as a precaution we would recommend planning around this time if possible.
